Each week will be having a guest writer add something special to our blog. This week, Petrine Hango from Windhoek, Namibia shares a poem that is very close to her heart.
Arise Africa Arise by Petrine Hango
Gone are the days of Slavery.
Even if there is bribery,
Rather go to the library.
Because the answer is education.
Even if you have connection,
The answer is not corruption.
Arise Africa Arise....
Arise Africa like the sun rises.
You don’t need western praises,
Rather ask for God’s Praises.
Stand your ground Africa.
Reignite the Spirit of motherland.
No more civil war,
We must be on par.
Don’t loose hope.
One love Africa,
Because we need to cope
Nothing is impossible,
Remind yourself of the Bible,
The book of Wisdom,
It curtails boredom.
Arise Africa Arise.....
Morals out of the window.
A generation of technology,
Feed your mind with the best ideology,
Because you will need the energy.
Arise Africa Arise........
So many resources in motherland
What more do you need???
When will you proceed???
Because we need to succeed.
Is it a matter of a mind shift??
Unity in Africa is a necessity.
Together we can achieve Prosperity.
Many are captivated by your beauty.....
Africa you are the best!!!
Arise Africa Arise .....
